The artwork
What is the difference between an original artwork and a reproduction?
The original artwork is the work being reproduced; a reproduction is a separate object carrying an image of that work. A historical artist's name on a print listing does not mean you are buying the original.
On OutsideCanvas, artwork context identifies the composition and its creator, while product details refer to a particular retail listing. The two should not be read as one certificate of authenticity.
Terms such as original print, edition, poster and canvas can describe different objects in different contexts. Check what the seller actually offers: reproduction method, support, dimensions and any documented edition or signature. We do not authenticate originals, signatures or limited editions, and an affiliate link is not an authentication service.
